Why Design?
A garden design, or even a simple planting plan, can save money by predicting and avoiding costly errors, unnecessary work and materials. It also provides a detailed specification upon which prices can be calculated and against which work can be checked. A design ensures consistency throughout a scheme, irrespective of whether the practical work is to be undertaken in full or in stages. Colour, spread of flowering periods, future maintenance and all other practical matters can be taken into consideration before work on the scheme starts. Problems of levels, drainage, views, light and shade can all be addressed and it is easy to make changes at the design stage. I offer designs that are both imaginative and practical, based on over 20 years of landscaping experience. See my Contact page for further details.
